Built in 1928, Village Hall (also know as the Municipal Building) was designed to look like Independence Hall, the birthplace of the United States. The building was enlarged in 1973 so that the original floor space was doubled. A sunken garden at the rear adds the beauty of colorful plantings. The village flag was adopted in 1930 - the first in Nassau County.
